About Me
My name is Joey Collins.
On May 13, 1997, I was working for my then employer, Uni-Sign Corp of Ivel, Kentucky, when I was involved in a terrible electrical accident while on-site at Fletcher & Halls Auto Dealership located on old US 23 in Pikeville.
After surviving the electrocution, I spent the next 12 years in recovery and rehabilitation, which by the grace of God included education and training in computer technology. Feeling that I had found my true passion, I continued my work with computers as a hobby for the next 10 years. And when I made a decision to re-join the workforce I was confident that this was the proper path for me.
I actually started the beginnings of High Voltage Electronics in my bedroom after being released from the hospital in June of 1997. I was in a body cast from my neck to my waist with a cast on my leg and my right arm...and in a wheelchair. I had one thing in mind: bettering my future in hopes of providing encouragement to others to keep moving forward in life no matter what might come their way. There is profound truth in the statement that it is not what happens to us that determines our future, it is our attitude and how we handle it. I refuse to give up because my kids need me to be the best that I can be, and I know through this belief I can provide them with a better future; something I could only dream about before my "fortunate misfortune" gave me purpose, strength and direction.
The road to success is not always the way we plan it and I am thankful to have the ability to be able to work after the injuries I sustained that fateful day. The experience taught me the value of family, friendship and keeping your word no matter what. The many lessons in life that I have now learned demand that I will be the very best that I can be in any service performed or commitment made to my customers.
As long as you, as my customer, are satisfied with what product or service you receive from me, then I know I have done my job as your technician and God will bless me just as he continues to. You will find I am passionate about my research to find the best deals at affordable prices to meet your needs and keep your computer system up and running. I know how much my family depends on our computer at home, so I completely understand the terrible inconvenience of being "down"! My word to you as a customer is that I will strive to do everything that you ask of me to meet your computing needs.
When I received my Certification from New Horizons Computer Learning Center in Lexington, Kentucky I knew I had only reach the first of many stepping stones toward my goal of becoming the #1 computer technician in Eastern Kentucky with the best customer support and service at the best price...always. This goal and the commitment and determination required to reach it will always guarantee you the best products at the best price available. Also, I will always service what I sell so give me a call anytime and I will be happy to help you with the demands of your home and business computer needs.
It is in this spirit that I ask for your business and sincerely look forward to an opportunity to work with you.
